Police Training Academy Jokes

The Academy Marksmanship Exam

During a final shooting range exam at the police academy, an instructor was evaluating a group of eager young recruits. One recruit stepped up to the line, took aim at the paper target fifty yards away, and fired six shots in quick succession. When the target was pulled back for inspection, all six bullet holes were grouped dead center in a perfect half-inch circle right in the bullseye. The instructor stared in absolute disbelief, turned to the recruit, and asked, 'Son, where on earth did you learn to shoot like that?' The recruit smiled sheepishly and replied, 'Well, sir, I used to be the state champion at classic arcade light-gun games!' The instructor nodded and said, 'Remind me never to play against you at the arcade.'

The Obstacle Course Dilemma

A police academy instructor was taking new recruits through a grueling physical obstacle course designed to test their stamina and agility. Near the end of the course was a ten-foot smooth wooden wall that recruits were expected to climb over using momentum and teamwork. One recruit ran up to the wall, stopped dead in his tracks, looked left and right, and simply walked around the side of the wall through the open grass. The instructor blew his whistle furiously, ran over, and shouted, 'What do you think you're doing? You skipped the wall!' The recruit calmly replied, 'Instructor, as a future police officer, I was trained to always look for the path of least resistance to conserve energy for the actual arrest!'

The Interrogation Technique Lesson

In a class on suspect interrogation at the police academy, the instructor posed a scenario to the students: 'Imagine you have apprehended a suspect who refuses to speak or answer any of your questions. What psychological tactic would you use to get him to talk?' A recruit in the front row raised his hand and answered, 'Sir, I would put him in a room with my mother-in-law for fifteen minutes.' The instructor paused, stroked his chin thoughtfully, and said, 'While that violates several international treaties on humane treatment, I admire your resourcefulness.'

The Emergency Vehicle Driving Test

A rookie cadet was taking his practical emergency vehicle driving test with a senior instructor sitting in the passenger seat. The instructor instructed the cadet to activate the lights and siren and make a sharp left turn through a simulated busy intersection. The cadet gripped the steering wheel tightly, slammed on the accelerator, flipped the switches, and executed the maneuver perfectly without touching a single cone. As the car came to a stop, the instructor let out a deep sigh of relief and said, 'Excellent control, cadet. Next time, try to remember to open your eyes while doing it!'
